Assassin’s Creed Valhalla release date moved up to launch alongside Xbox Series X
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be released on Nov. 10, pushed up from its original Nov. 17 release date, to align with the launch of Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
Ubisoft announced the date change on Wednesday following Microsoft’s announcement on its next-gen consoles. “Build the legend of a Viking raider on any console,” Ubisoft tweeted. “Upgrade from Xbox One to Xbox Series X at no additional cost.” Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also be released on Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC at the same time.
The game will also be released on PlayStation 5, but Sony has not confirmed a launch date for its next-gen console at this time.
Everything we know about the Xbox Series X
Ubisoft first revealed Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in April. A first look at the game was presented in May. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is set in the ninth century during the Viking raids on England. Players will take on the role of Eivor, a clan leader and Viking raider. Eivor is playable with a female or male avatar, and is also customizable with different hair, clothes, and tattoos.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is expected to cost $59.99, like all other Ubisoft games released during the next-gen launch window.
