Destiny 2: Where Is Xur Today? Location And Exotic Items Guide (July 24-28)

Xur has returned again to Destiny 2. The always reliable Exotic items merchant is here for his weekend visit with a refreshed lineup of things for sale. Below, we’ve assembled a guide on where to find Xur and what he’s selling–and you’ll want to take a look regardless of which Exotics you already own.

Xur Location

Right now, Xur is located on Titan, in The Rig section. Spawn in at the landing zone there and make your way east, which should be just to your left when you first spawn in. Make your way around the left side of the large building in front of you until you make it out into the open, and then turn left. Drop down to the ledge one floor below you and go through the doorway to find Xur standing all by himself (or possibly surrounded by other players.

Xur Items

Xur is selling the usual lineup of items, albeit with the particulars swapped out. There’s one Exotic weapon–the very enjoyable Sunshot hand cannon–and one piece of Exotic armor for each class. Even if you own these items, they’re worth a look, as you may find these versions have better stats than yours (find them all below). Here’s the full lineup:

  • Sunshot (Exotic hand cannon) — 29 Legendary Shards
  • Liar’s Handshake (Exotic Hunter gauntlets) — 23 Legendary Shards
  • Eternal Warrior (Exotic Titan helmet) — 23 Legendary Shards
  • Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Exotic Warlock helmet) — 23 Legendary Shards
  • Exotic Engram — 97 Segendary Shards
  • Five of Swords (challenge card) — free

The Exotic Engram can be purchased to acquire a random Exotic you don’t already own from a pool of select items. Five of Swords, meanwhile, is a challenge card that allows you to add modifiers to Nightfall runs.

Sunshot (hand cannon)

Sunshot is a solar hand cannon that packs a punch: Its Sunburn trait causes it to fire explosive rounds, and targets that receive damage from the weapon are highlighted afterward. Enemies that are killed by the gun explode. It’s a good time.

Liar’s Handshake (Hunter gauntlets)

Those who enjoy melee attacks should give Liar’s Handshake a look. You’ll be able to pull off a heavy-damage melee attack with it after doing one of two things: being hit by a melee attack yourself, or using an Arc melee ability.

  • Resilience – 10
  • Recovery – 6
  • Discipline – 6
  • Intellect – 9
  • Strength – 14

Eternal Warrior (Titan helmet)

Eternal Warrior is exclusively useful when equipped with Fists of Havoc. When you activate that, this helmet will provide you with an overshield, ensuring you’re able to make the most of the Super.

  • Recovery – 6

Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Hunter helmet)

Similarly, Skull of Dire Ahamkara is only going to be worth equipped when you’re using Nova Bomb. When casting the Super, you’ll get extra damage resistance, and kills you earn with it will provide Super energy. That should help allow you to make use of your Super more often.

  • Mobility – 7

  • Recovery – 15
  • Discipline – 11
  • Intellect – 16
  • Strength – 2

Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion was recently delayed until November 10. We also learned as part of the Xbox games event that Destiny 2 and Beyond Light are both coming to Xbox Game Pass. That event also brought with it a new Stasis trailer that showcases the new ice-themed abilities that are on their way as part of the new expansion.
