Several leading retailers in the UK released Xbox Series X stock this week, and there’s a chance more is on the way.
The GAME restock went live on Tuesday and included the new Halo Infinite Xbox Series X bundle.
Pre-orders for this item appear to have sold out, but there’s a chance that more is on the way.
This is due to a GAME policy of putting stock that was pre-ordered but never paid for back onto the site the day.
For now, only Xbox Series S stock remains, but it will be worth keeping an eye on the site to see if anything else pops up in the next 24-hours.
Meanwhile, it’s also worth checking to see whether any Xbox Series X stock remains on the EE Store platform.
It appears that most of today’s Xbox Series X stock will have sold out, although Currys is another retailer website to check out.
At the time of writing, there was still the option of adding an Xbox Series X bundle to your basket, including an Xbox Elite Controller, FIFA 22, three Months of Games Pass Ultimate, and base console.
Other next-gen consoles are expected back in stock this week, including Sony’s PlayStation 5.
According to the latest news, GAME will be ready to release its PS5 stock this week, during the morning between 8am and 11am BST.
So for those looking out for new opportunities, your best chance could happen on October 28 or October 29.
This is the 48-hour window attached to the new GAME restock, although other stores could surprise us with new shipments this week too.
The prediction was made by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which is known for providing the best guides on what’s happening next.
A new message from PS5 Stock UK Alert revealed: “The PS5 bundles page has been updated with a release date of 04/11.
“We can confirm priority orders will be delivered by 01/11 with all other orders by 04/11. This indicates a possible online restock between 28-29 October.”
Having an idea of when a next-gen restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.
And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a console from leading UK retailers:
ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.
AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out.
GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for next-gen consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock update is expected to happen on October 28.
