Xbox And Bethesda Showcase Coming January 25

Xbox has confirmed it'll be hosting its Developer_Direct live stream on January 25 with news on upcoming games from Arkane Austin, Mojang Studios, Turn 10 Studios, and ZeniMax Online Studios. The Developer_Direct will reportedly focus on "big features, extended gameplay showcases, and the latest info for Xbox games launching in the next few months, including The Elder Scrolls Online, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, and Redfall."

The news confirms an earlier rumor that Xbox would host a games showcase for its upcoming titles, with the name of the event and the games to be featured all confirmed. The rumor also stated that Starfield will be conspicuously absent, leading some to speculate it'll arrive much later in the year. In today's announcement, Xbox Wire confirmed that Starfield will have its own standalone show at a later date.

The show starts on January 25 at 12 PM PT, 3 PM ET on Xbox and Bethesda's Twitch and YouTube channels. The Elder Scrolls Online will start things off with a presentation on the next major update which will add new playable regions to Tamriel, while following the show, ESO will have its own dedicated Chapter Reveal Event hosted by ZeniMax Online Studios. Forza Motorsport will then showcase gameplay and "exciting new details," while Minecraft Legends "will showcase an insider’s look into the PvP multiplayer experience."

And from Arkane Austin, Redfall will reveal single and multiplayer gameplay in its upcoming co-op first-person shooter. "Fans can expect to learn more about combat, customization, bosses, the open world, and more."

One thing that wasn't mentioned was Xbox Game Pass's Friends & Family plan, which just started advertising on Xbox consoles. This plan will supposedly allow multiple Xbox accounts to use the same Game Pass subscription, but details have remained scarce since info was leaked last August. We'll see if Xbox makes an announcement either during or before Developer_Direct.
