VR Cover Introduces Oculus Quest 2 Carry Case & HP Reverb G2 Silicone Cover
Becoming a one-stop-shop for all your Oculus Quest 2 accessory needs, VR Cover’s range is getting fairly extensive since the headset arrived in October 2020. The company has now expanded its product selection with the addition of a carry case as well as introducing its first HP Reverb G2 accessory.
Offering an alternative to Oculus’ official £49 GBP carry case which snuggly fits the headset – with or without the Elite Strap – and both controllers, VR Cover’s $29 USD version can hold the headset and controllers with zip pockets for additional storage. It won’t fit the Elite Strap or Elite Strap with Battery, however.
On the plus side, it’ll accommodate VR Cover accessories like Facial Interface and Foam Replacement Set, plus there’s a short carry handle and a supplied adjustable shoulder strap for easy transportation. At the moment, the VR Cover Carrying Case for Oculus Quest 2 is only available in North America.
And for those of you with a new HP Reverb G2, VR Cover’s Silicone Cover is now available in North America as well. Retailing for $14, its made from the same medical grade silicone that is unoiled and hypoallergenic as the other headset versions, it just comes in one colour though. The cover is designed to perfectly fit around the stock face mask, ideal if you want to avoid wear and tear or enjoy energetic fitness titles which make you sweat.
VR Cover hasn’t said when these items will be made available in other territories but expect that to happen sooner rather than later. For example, the new Oculus Quest 2 Controller Grips and Halo Protectors arrived at the beginning of the year in North America followed by worldwide roll out a week later.
Oculus Quest owners have got lot’s to be excited about this week with Facebook announcing its v25 software update. This adds App Lab, a new distribution path for developers to get their products onto the headset. Plus Messenger is being rolled out to those who’ve linked to their Facebook account.
