Two New Warhammer 40k Games Revealed, Including A Return To Chaos Gate
The Warhammer Skulls Showcase ended with a big reveal – there’s going to be a new Chaos Gate game! Officially titled Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters, it will release in 2022 with more details coming this August.
Daemonhunters will see players command the Grey Knights, a chapter of Space Marines dedicated to fighting the Chaos Gods. The game will feature a tactical turn-based, story-heavy campaign about protecting the galaxy from a cosmic plague called The Bloom. The plot was written by Black Library author Aaron Dembski-Bowden.
The other new game swings all the way in the opposite direction to complete silliness. Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood & Teef is a 2D platformer all about blasting things as an Ork. It comes from the developer of Guns, Gore & Cannoli and will release on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Switch in 2022. Multiple classes and weapons will be available, and it will support both online and local multiplayer.
These two games were no doubt the big reveals of the Warhammer Skulls Showcase. However, fans are sure to find a lot to love in the full stream. Head here if you want to watch the video, here if you want to see what’s going on with Battle Sisters, or here if Sigmar is more your thing.
