Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy Leaked On Microsoft Store

A listing for Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy has appeared on the Microsoft Store. The bundle features the latest three games in the series, Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider. No official announcement was made about this bundle, so we assume that it’s a slip up.

As spotted on ResetEra, the Definitive Survivor Trilogy is due to launch on March 18, and will include all DLC that has been put out by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, including Advantage Packs and Challenge Packs.

“Tomb Raider: Definitive Survivor Trilogy is the complete edition of the award-winning Tomb Raider origin games,” reads the listing. “This collection contains all the definitive edition content from each critically acclaimed prequel title—Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition.”

The description of the bundle traces Lara’s journey right from the first game. “Follow Lara on her formative journey across the world, starting in Tomb Raider trapped on the shrouded island of Yamatai off the coast of Japan, to the harsh Siberian tundra hiding an immortal secret in Rise of the Tomb Raider, and finally to the mountainous landscape of Peru to uncover a cataclysmic power in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. With all the definitive edition content from each game, this Trilogy promises dozens of hours of breathtaking exploration, challenging puzzle-solving, and survival combat with Lara as she becomes the Tomb Raider she was destined to become.”

There’s no news on whether the bundle will be coming to other platforms, but considering that all three games launched on all platforms, there should be no reason that it won’t. The bundle is most likely part of the series’ 25th anniversary celebration. Square Enix has additionally set up a special website to honour this milestone and has also teased a new game that will unify the game’s timelines.

A recently unearthed video clip of 2008’s Tomb Raider Underworld revealed that the game originally had a much darker ending. The video shows an alternate ending where instead of parting mutually, Amanda decides to try and attack Lara, who reacts by shooting her in the knee. Amanda is then left to fend for herself in the snow and dark.
