Sony Drops Venom: Let There Be Carnage Trailer
“Welcome back Eddie Brock… it’s been a long time. Missed you, so much.”
Sony has just unveiled a brand new trailer for the upcoming Venom: Let There Be Carnage movie that is releasing September 24. In this new footage, we get to see Woody Harrelson’s all-red symbiote monstrosity in live-action with glimpses of how Eddie and Venom’s relationship is after the events of the original film.
What’s more, it’s confirmed that the movie will only be showing in movie theaters, so there’s no streaming debut here. That’s the case for Spider-Man 3 too which is coming in December, only a couple of months later.
Venom is being directed by Star Wars, Planet of the Apes, and MCU actor Andy Serkis who worked previously as a director on Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle in 2018, the same year that the last Venom film dropped.
It’s also being written by Kelly Marcel, the same writer from the first movie, who also worked on Fifty Shades of Grey and the upcoming Disney film Cruella. It stars Tom Hardy in the titular role, Michelle Williams, Stephen Graham, Woody Harrelson, Reid Scott, Sean Delaney, William W. Barbour, and Peggy Lu.
How this film will tie into the MCU if at all is unclear but there are rumors of Tom Holland making an appearance along with Naomie Harris as Shriek. Whether this pans out remains to be seen but September isn’t too far away so fans won’t have to wait long to get all the answers.
