The highlight of the month for PlayStation Plus subscribers is the release of the latest batch of free PS4 and PS5 games.
Sony releases PS Plus games on the first Tuesday of the month, with the reveal taking place a week before.
Depending on how the days fall, subscribers sometimes have to wait a little longer for the PS Plus games reveal.
This is true of the December PS Plus free games, which won’t be revealed until the afternoon of December 1.
To make matters worse, fans will have to wait until Tuesday, December 7 to actually download and play the new PS Plus releases.
It’s an unfortunate situation, although it does at least give subscribers extra time to download the current batch of free games.
This includes PS4 and PS5 versions of Knockout City and First Class Trouble, as well as the PS4 version of Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning.
As an added bonus, Sony has included three PlayStation VR titles in the November batch of free games.
If you’ve got PSVR and a PS Plus subscription, then be sure to download The Persistence, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, and Until You Fall before it’s too late.
The highlight of the month is arguably Knockout City, which has an 80% score on Metacritic.
Developed by Velan Studios and published by EA, Knockout City is a team-based multiplayer dodgeball game.
“Team up and duke it out with rival crews in style as you settle the score with epic dodgeball battles online,” reads a Sony post.
“Brace yourself for outrageous fun and intense competition in an all-new take on team-based multiplayer games.
“Knock out opponents with trick shots and coordinated teamwork while dodging and catching balls flying across the map. No ball? No problem! You can literally ball up, roll into a teammate’s hands, and become the ultimate weapon.”
Needless to say, the game features countless customisation options, as well as the ability to form a crew with friends.
PlayStation share the best of PS Plus
As for the PSVR games, Walking Dead Saints and Sinners, and The Persistence are both excellent horror games with lots of replay value.
The Persistence is a rogue-lite horror game set on board a stranded starship in the depths of space.
“Stranded, malfunctioning, and caught in the inexorable pull of a black hole, ‘The Persistence’ is overrun with a crew mutated into horrific and murderous aberrations.
“It’s down to you, a clone of security officer Zimri Eder, to make your way deeper in the decks of The Persistence to repair the systems and prevent the ship from being torn apart.
“Gather resources, upgrade abilities and fabricate an arsenal of weapons in this brutal sci-fi horror rogue-lite.”
The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, on the other hand, tasks players with surviving a zombie apocalypse in the streets of New Orleans.
