The Dopey Pokemon, Slowpoke, returns with its evolutions in Scarlet and Violet to the rivers and lakes of Paldea. Whether you want to use this Pokemon in your party or are just trying to fill out your Pokedex, you'll eventually need to evolve Slowpoke into one or both of its evolutions.
Slowpoke can evolve into Slowbro or Slowking, depending on a few different factors. If you're looking for the steps to do so, you've come to the right place. Below, we'll take a look at how to get a Slowpoke and evolve it into Slowbro and Slowking.
How To Get Slowpoke
Slowpoke can be found all over the map, including in South Province Area One, South Province Area Five, West Provide Area Two, East Province Area Two, and Casseroya Lake. They are usually found near larger bodies of water, like rivers and lakes.
How To Evolve Slowpoke Into Slowbro
Now that you have your Slowpoke, evolving it into Slowbro is actually very simple. At level 37, Slowpoke will evolve into Slowbro. Use EXP candies, Rare Candies, or level it up by battling wild Pokemon until it reaches this level, and it will evolve into Slowbro.
How To Evolve Slowpoke Into Slowking
To get Slowking, you'll need to take a few more steps. First, you will need to obtain the item King's Rock. There are several ways to obtain this item, but the easiest by far is to simply purchase it from any Delibird Presents for 10,000 Pokedollars. However, you'll only be able to buy this item after you've obtained four Gym Badges, so be sure to complete Gym Challenges first.
After you have the King's Rock, let your Slowpoke hold it. Now, you will need to trade this Slowpoke to another player, at which point it will evolve into Slowking. If you're trading with a friend, you can simply do the same trade back to get your Slowking back.
If you have no one to trade with, there is another method to get Slowking, but it is not guaranteed. Slowking has a chance to appear in five and six-star Tera Raids, which are accessible after beating the main story. The current selection of Tera Raids changes each day, so you can move your system's time forward a day to refresh the current raids. However, you'll have to check every single raid to see if there is a Slowking, which can be extremely tedious and time-consuming.
