'Genshin Impact' Will Arrive to PlayStation 5 Along With Massive Update
miHoYo has now confirmed that its massively-popular Genshin Impact will be arriving to the PlayStation 5 through backwards compatibility. While the game will run smoother with reduced load times and enhanced graphics on Sony’s upcoming next-gen console, being a backwards compatible title also means it won’t be able to make full use of the device’s upgraded specs, although the Chinese developer has not commented on whether the game will be getting a full-fledged PS5 version later on.
Along with its PS5 release, miHoYo will be launching Genshin Impact‘s Version 1.1 update, a rather sizeable update bringing its very first seasonal event named Reconciled Stars. The event will feature a Teyvat facing “sudden and terrible catastrophe,” and new quests and challenges will allow players to earn a four-star Electro character called Fischl during its two week period. Version 1.1 will also add more regular quests, characters, and a brand new per-city reputation system which seemingly allows you to unlock various items exclusive to the different regions.
Genshin Impact‘s Version 1.1 update will release on November 11. The game itself is now available on the PlayStation 4, PC, and various mobile platforms.
Elsewhere in gaming, South Korea’s DAMWON has won the 2020 League of Legends championship.
