Fortnite’s Dragon Ball Crossover Tweet Is Its Most Liked Ever In Just 13 Hours
At 278.8k likes, Fortnite's recent Dragon Ball tweet is now its most liked ever in just 13 hours.
Yesterday, Fortnite decided to just blow up the internet by casually confirming that it'll be crossing over with Dragon Ball on August 16, announcing it through a tweet featuring Shenron floating above the island. The news wasn't particularly surprising considering several bits of Dragon Ball data had been datamined over the past few months, but it was news that apparently a lot of people were excited to see.
So many were excited to see it, in fact, that it's now Fortnite's most-liked tweet of all time, just 13 hours after it was posted. As pointed out by reputable Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, the tweet announcing the crossover between Dragon Ball and Fortnite sits at around 278.8k likes as of the time of writing, making it the most popular on the account.
ShiinaBR pointed out how much of a feat this was, saying, "This Dragon Ball tweet is now Fortnite's most liked tweet EVER. And it took only 13 hours for this to happen! (To put it in perspective, for the same milestone the Naruto announcement tweet needed about 1-2 days)". As referenced by ShiinaBR, the Naruto tease was previously Fortnite's most liked tweet, now sitting at 250.7k likes as of the time of writing.
It's no surprise to see that the Dragon Ball tease has become Fortnite's most liked tweet – not only is Dragon Ball unarguably one of the most popular and well-reaching anime in the world, but it's a collaboration that's been requested by players and hinted at by Fortnite insiders and leakers for some time.
Although Fortnite has yet to officially confirm what will be included as part of the Dragon Ball crossover, rumours have suggested that the skins will include Goku, Vegeta, Beerus, and Bulma. Goku and Vegeta will also apparently be able to turn into their Super Saiyan forms with a special emote, which basically makes this the coolest crossover ever.
