For Honor latest Ubisoft game to receive PS5 and Xbox Series X upgrade

As with Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft will also be bringing For Honor to next gen consoles and upgrading it to support 60fps.

With so many other current gen games being upgraded to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, it’s not surprising to see Ubisoft’s medieval fighter For Honor follow suit.

Though we don’t have a release date, these next gen versions will sport all the visual upgrades players are familiar with from the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X/S releases, such as improved reflections and 4K resolution.

At first it will play at 30 frames per second but that’s only temporary. Ubisoft, in a new blog post, assures fans that For Honor on all next gen consoles will be upgraded to support 60fps in early December.

And for those worried about having to start afresh, Ubisoft also clarifies that all progress will automatically carry over to your next gen copy, including your inventory and purchases.

Ubisoft is offering the same thing for Rainbow Six Siege players, though that game’s framerate is being bumped up to 120fps.

Much like For Honor, we don’t know when the next gen versions are coming out, but we can probably expect For Honor, at least, to release within the next couple of months.

Ubisoft has plenty other games set to release as cross gen titles, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion.

For Honor is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
