Dead by Daylight’s 6th anniversary is coming soon, along with a brand new killer

The Dead by Daylight 6th Anniversary is slowly creeping towards us, much like the bloodthirsty killers who stalk survivors in Behaviour Interactive's survival horror masterpiece.

Fans of the multiplayer game can rest easy knowing that the developer is once again planning plenty of new content for players to enjoy. Exclusive rewards, community challenges and more festivities should be on the cards as we celebrate 6 years since the game first burst onto the scene.

If you're wondering what the developer has planned for 2022, then read on for all the latest leaks, predictions and details of when the 6th anniversary is due to get underway.

When is the Dead by Daylight 6th Anniversary in 2022?

The beauty of the Dead by Daylight anniversary event is that it usually takes place in and around the original release of the game. Which for those who don't know, was on June 13, 2016.

It's worth noting that, as the games popularity has grown over the years, the events start time and end time has moved around slightly. Usually as the developer looks to make an even bigger celebration with the community. You can see when the start and end times for past events on the below table.

For the time being, Behaviour Interactive have not confirmed a start date for the event, but we know they usually begin on Tuesday's. So we would imagine we see everything start on either June 14, June 21, or June 28.

Dead by Daylight 6th Anniversary Leaks

The ever reliable @LeaksDbd account on Twitter has somehow managed to get a whole bunch of datamined info for the event ahead of time, giving fans a massive sneak peak of what to expect.

Most of this, for the time being anyway, pertains to a new anniversary tome, various community challenges that will be available or features we've seen in the past, like anniversary hooks and generators.

The big reveal, however, comes from that fact that the new survivor is rumoured to be Haddie Kaur, and if you're not sure who that is we've added a bit of a bio for you just below.

Who is Haddie Kaur in Dead by Daylight?

Casual players might not know who Haddie Kaur is immediately, but she is a character who has been mentioned quite a few times in the game before.

Essentially she's an unseen character mentioned in various Tome's (those lore laden challenges you can undertake within the game).

More specifically, Haddie Kaur is an Indian psychic investigator who investigates paranormal activity as well as The Black Vale; who are the cult mentioned in-game who worship the evil entity pulling the strings behind the scenes.

We've heard an awful lot about Haddie Kaur in the past, but seen very little of her, but now it would seem the character is set to finally arrive with the 6th Anniversary event.

It's also quite intriguing that we seem to be getting a character with a long running history of being mentioned in Tome's, ironically at the same time that 'The Observer' character has also gone missing (see below). Could they be connected? We'll hazard a guess that it's no coincidence.

Dead by Daylight 6th Anniversary Killer Predictions

Supposedly the 6th Anniversary will also add a brand new killer to the game, but for now these details don't appear to have been revealed by the leaks we've already seen.

There's been a lot of talk about Springtrap from Five Nights at Freddy's potentially being added. So much so the games official reddit had to block posts relating to the animatronic character. For now though, it's still just speculation.

Beyond Springtrap, there's very little concrete evidence to suggest who the next killer could be. Equally it's not clear whether this new killer will be licensed from a horror franchise we know and love (Alien? The Candyman? IT the clown?) or a wholly original killer from the twisted minds of the developers.

Only time will tell, but for now, make sure to keep checking back and we'll keep this page updated with all the latest info as we get it.
