Cyberpunk 2077 Modder Discovers Secret Legendary Weapon
Cyberpunk 2077, just like many other open world games, is chock full of secrets to uncover. You'd think that almost two years after release pretty much everything worth finding would've been found by now, but one Cyberpunk modder believes they've found a secret legendary weapon. Granted, it's not something you can just find tucked in a remote corner of Night City.
Redditor OSHlN shared their discovery with the Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit, showing an image of a previously unseen weapon called 'Johnny's Revolver' that they found while cruising around in Night City with a NoClip mod. OSHlN activated the NoClip mod during the Johnny Silverhand flashback scene between Act 1 and Act 2, which allowed them to break the boundaries of the flashback and explore Night City at their leisure.
As an experiment, they decided to see what would happen if you visited a vendor as Johnny Silverhand. They approached Coach Fred and in their own inventory they noticed a legendary weapon called Johnny's Revolver. Despite looking like the Malorian Arms 3516 – Johnny's weapon that you can get by completing the quest Chippin' In – this revolver had a different name as well as a different description which reads "Has a mean streak. Like its owner."
There are several theories as to what this weapon actually is, as it was confirmed to be in the game's files by YouTuber Glitch Unlimited and not just an elaborate hoax. The most likely theory is that this was a pre-release version of the Malorian either deliberately used in flashback scenes, or something CD Projekt Red didn't see the need to remove since it's usually unobtainable.
Unfortunately, you can't obtain this weapon by regular means, but a console command was shared by someone. If you're a bit of a computer whiz, then you can use this console command to permanently add it to V's inventory. It might look and act like a standard Malorian, but it'll still be neat to have a weapon the developers never intended players to find at least.
