'YamatoCannon' joins Fnatic as the new Head Coach
Fnatic is one of the LEC teams that is suffering more changes this year during the ‘Free Agency’ season.
After the departure of the superstar Martin ‘Rekkles‘ Larsson and the arrival of Yasin ‘Nisqy‘ Dinçer to the mid lane, which confirms that Tim ‘Nemesis‘ Lipovšek is out of the team too, the legendary organization keeps working on its roster for the 2021 season.
One of the first steps was to renew the contract of the Support, Zdravets ‘Hylissang‘ Galabov, but now the team has taken one more step and announced a few hours ago the acquisition of Jakob “YamatoCannon” Mebdi.
Introducing our new #LEC coaching team 🧑🏫
Welcome to the Black and Orange @YamatoMebdi and @TolkiCasts.

YamatoCannon is a very experienced Coach, being Fnatic the seventh team under his command. The last experience for him was one of the craziest of his career: in 2020, he became the Head Coach for SANDBOX Gaming in the Korean LCK.
After that adventure, YamatoCannon returns to Europe to lead the most historic team in the region, and this is how he feels about that:
It is an honor and a privilege. You have my blood, sweat and tears @FNATIC https://t.co/537ZqoAh8I

But Yamato is not alone, he comes together with Gary “Tolki” Mialaret, who will help him coaching Fnatic after being part of the strategic division of T1.
With Hylissang, Nisqy, Bwipo, and Selfmade confirmed, and Upset being rumored to be Fnatic’s next ADC, the new Coaching Staff prepares to make Fnatic champion of the LEC in 2021… will they succeed?
