Matu at the forefront of Secret's destruction of Nigma in the EU DPC League
Both Team Nigma and Team Secret were the only two unbeaten teams in the European Dota Pro Circuit League – sitting in first and second place, but one team would lose their first series today.
Although it would be the only series in the EU DPC League today, Nigma versus Secret was a gigantic match between two juggernauts of the region and world. While both teams were unbeaten in a series so far, both had dropped games along the way – with Secret dropping one to mudgolems (before they were signed by Tundra Esports) and Nigma dropping one to both of their previous opponents. Today one team would lose their first series as they fought for first place in the standings.
While game one of the series lasted 43-minutes, it was by no means a close game as Secret absolutely destroyed Nigma, starving them of kills and farm. For Nigma, only Amer “Miracle-“ Al-Barkawi’s Phantom Lancer was able to build up any noticeable net worth but never became an issue for Secret’s lineup with Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen’s Slark being an unstoppable 17-0-7 when things came to an end. However, Nigma were known for losing their first series and coming back to take the next two and they were now hoping to do the same against Secret.
The next game was a bit better for Nigma, finding a whole 10 more kills than they did in game one, which meant they lost just as fast. Once again, it was Matu at the top of things for Secret with an Ursa which went 20-2-7 and crushed Nigma’s lineup across the board.
Nigma stood no chance against a clearly far superior Team Secret and went down 0-2, losing their first series of the EU DPC League, dropping down to a tied third place with OG after that result. For Secret, they pull ahead with a 3-0 scoreline currently, with Team Liquid their next opponent on February 6th – the same day which Nigma will face Vikin.gg.
