Legends of Runeterra Patch 1.6 official notes and updates

The new version of Legends of Runeterra will bring big meta changes, the Spirit Blossom Event, lots of rewards, new store items, and more surprises.

Balance changes

Riot Games is determined to change the metagame, that is why they want to give the players a variety of tools to adapt to and solve novel challenges.

These tools are the changes made to the cards, that may not be statistically overpowered, but represent pervasive health risks.

Card Updates

Heimerdinger:

  • 3-mana spells now create Mk3: Apex Turret, a 3/1 Fearsome (previously the 4-mana turret keyword).
  • 4-mana spells now create Mk4: Stormlobber, a 4/1 Turret with Overwhelm (previously the 6-mana turret keyword).
  • 6-mana spells now create Mk6: Floor-B-Gone, a 6/1 Elusive (previously the 3-mana turret keyword).

Braum:

  • Braum Level one Power reduced from 1 to 0.
  • Braum Level two Power reduced from 2 to 1.

Eggnivia:

  • Eggnivia health reduced from 2 to 1.

Relentless Pursuit and Lucian’s Relentless Pursuit:

  • Speed changed from Fast to Slow.

Arena Bookie:

  • Power reduced from 5 to 4.

Basilisk Rider:

  • Power reduced from 5 to 4.

Crimson Discipline:

  • New text: When I survive damage, deal 1 to the enemy Nexus.

Legion Grenadier:

  • Health increased from 1 to 2.
  • New text: Last Breath: Deal 1 to the enemy nexus.

Flash of Brilliance:

  • Cost increased from 3 to 4.

Sump Dredger:

  • Cost increased from 2 to 3.
  • New text: To play me, discard 1 and draw 2.

Zaunite Urchin:

  • New text: To play me, discard 1 and draw 2.

Shadow Assasin:

  • Power decreased from 2 to 1.

Steel Tempest and Yasuo’s Steel Tempest:

  • Cost decreased from 3 to 2.

Rivershaper:

  • Health increased from 1 to 2.

Will of Ionia:

  • Cost increased from 4 to 5.

Golden Narwhal:

  • Cost reduced from 3 to 2.
  • Health reduced from 4 to 3.

Hunting Fleet:

  • Cost reduced from 5 to 4.
  • Power reduced from 7 to 6.
  • Health reduced from 7 to 6.

Personalization

In addition to all the items and rewards available through the Spirit Blossom Event, we will also have a new Spirit Blossom-inspired board.

Deck Bundles

Relentless Raiders bundle hits the store with Patch 1.6, and you can purchase it for 1962 Coins.

Expedition Balance Changes:

  • Battle Scars: Ancient Yeti removed.
  • Enlightenment: Rivershaper added. Shadow Assassin and Zephyr Sage removed.
  • Frozen Solid: Elixir of Iron and Kindly Tavernkeeper added. Catalyst of Aeons and Stalking Wolf removed.
  • Mega Keg: Lion Grenadier added. House Spider removed.
  • Raiding Party: Warning Shot added. Alpha Wildclaw removed.
  • Scrapheap: Arena Bookie, Clump of Whumps, Flame Chompers, Sump Dredger and Zaunite Urchin added. Academy Prodigy, Chempunk Pickpocket, Crimson Disciple, Imperial Demolitionist and Used Cask Salesman removed.
  • Shadows and Dust: Shadow Assasin removed.
  • Spell Slingers: Jeweled Protector, Rivershaper, and Spirit’s Refuge added. Insight of Ages, Shadow Assasin, and Will of Ionia removed.
  • Suit Up: Avarosan Hearthguard and Scarmaiden Reaver removed.
  • Terrors from the Deep: Chum the Waters added.

Bugfixes

  • Swain now gains level-up progress from Final Spark Overwhelm damage.
  • Teemo (both levels) and Swain (Level 2) will now trigger their Nexus Strike ability when damaging the nexus through effects like Dragon’s Rage.
  • The Support buff from Stirred Spirits no longer expires at the end of the round if the supported unit manages to live.
  • Fixed an issue where the deck builder could become unresponsive after collecting Loot.
  • Fixed an issue where Gauntlet decks could be incorrectly identified as invalid.
  • Fixed an issue where units summoned when discarded would momentarily appear in hand before being summoned.
  • Fixed an issue where Ezreal would sometimes gain level-up progress when a target was removed before a spell resolved.
  • Fixed an issue where Gangplank’s (Level 2) attack trigger would sometimes not deal enhanced damage from Powder Kegs to all enemies.
  • Updated icons on Fizz and Vladimir to better match their functionality.
  • The ability icon for Thresh’s (Level 2) once-per-game ability will now disappear once he’s used it.
