Former YOOZOO GAMES CEO Anuj Tandon Joins Krafton

Former YOOZOO GAMES India CEO Anuj Tandon has left the Chinese-owned game developer to join PUBG and PUBG Mobile owner Krafton. Tandon will serve as the new head of corporate development for India, the Middle East, and North Africa.

“I join the team in [India] in building out our Strategy, Investments (Strategic/VC), M&A, New Businesses, and more for India and Middle East market.” Tandon wrote in a social media post announcing his new job. “PUBG success globally is well known and I am excited to be working with talented colleagues to make Krafton footprint much larger.”

Tandon spent more than four years leading the India division of the Chinese-owned game developer as CEO. Prior to that, he worked as head of mobile game publishing and marketing at India-based Nazara Games, as a solutions designer at Infosys, and in 2010 he helped found Rolocule Games, where he led marketing and product management efforts until 2015.

It is unclear if Tandon will tackle the complicated issue of PUBG Mobile being banned in India or not, a herculean task given the Indian government’s stance that the restrictions on the hundreds of mobile apps it banned last year would remain as ongoing tensions between the government and China continue.
