ESL Leadership Changes: Craig Levine Promoted to Co-CEO and Stefan Beitz Joins as CFO
Esports competition operator ESL announced changes to its leadership Monday. The Modern Times Group subsidiary appointed Craig Levine as Co-CEO of ESL, succeeding David Neichel. Levine, who joined the company in 2014 as part of an acquisition, was previously Chief Strategy Officer of ESL and, prior to that, served as CEO of ESL North America. Levine will lead the company alongside Co-CEO and ESL Founder Ralf Reichert.
Former Co-CEO David Neichel will transition to a senior advisor role to support ESL’s two CEOs. Neichel will focus on regional business development, long-term development, and investment cases to grow the ESL business.
Also part of the leadership team, Stefan Beitz was recently appointed as CFO at ESL. Before joining ESL, Beitz worked at German media company ProSiebenSat.1 Media. Beitz will succeed Arne Anders, who decided to leave to pursue other career opportunities.
