es3tag officially joins Astralis, roster moves to seven players
Astralis has officially signed Patrick “es3tag” Hansen to their Counter-Strike roster. The move had been planned for months with the 24-year-old sitting on Heroic’s bench ever since the intention to leave the roster for Astralis was made public.
es3tag joins as the seventh member of the lineup with Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander and Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth currently taking a break due to burnout and stress. Nicolai “device” Reedtz has publicly stated that gla1ve will return in August while the return of Xyp9x has not yet been set and will not be rushed. This information was shared by the AWPer on HLTV Confirmed. dev1ce also had some kind words for his new teammate – “he can AWP, lurk and play map control,” he said of the latest addition.
After three years on Heroic, es3tag is on to a new challenge with Astralis. The four time Major champion organization is testing things we haven’t seen done very often in the realm of Counter-Strike and especially not with a lineup that has accomplished so much.
