David Hinkle Leaves 2K Games for Corsair Gaming

Former 2K Games Community and Social Media Manager David Hinkle has joined computer hardware and peripherals company Corsair Gaming (NasdaqGS: CRSR) in a similar role. Hinkle said on social media that he will be “part of the gaming team doing rad stuff on social.” 

Hinkle joined 2K Games in 2014 as its community and social media manager, spearheading activities for such games as WWE 2K Battlegrounds, PGA TOUR 2K21, XCOM: Chimera Squad, Civilization VI  and associated expansions, XCOM 2 and its expansion, Sid Meier’s Starships, Civilization: Beyond Earth, and many other games over nearly six and a half years.

Prior to joining 2K Games, Hinkle worked at gaming website Joystiq.com for more than two years as an associate editor prior to the publication shutting down, and more than four years as a staff writer in 2012.

Corsair, owned by EagleTree, raised $118.6M USD before expenses in an initial public offering in September of last year and began publicly trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market (NasdaqGS). In November of last year, Corsair acquired esports coaching platform Gamer Sensei for an undisclosed amount of money. At around the same time Corsair reported $36M profit for Q3 2020.
