Aura PH & BREN Esports set to battle as the only two MPL-PH teams left in ONE Esports MPL Invitational

Aura PH has won the rivalry match against ONIC PH, eliminating ONIC from ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Invitational. With Blacklist International also suffering a loss, this leaves Aura PH and MPL-PH Season 6 Champions BREN Esports as the only two teams from the region remaining in the event and they are set to do battle next.

Aura PH will take on BREN Esports in the quarterfinals next weekend to decide who will be the lone representative from the Philippines moving forward in the tournament.

In the recently concluded matches, Aura PH didn’t fare so well in game one against ONIC. The latter managed to take a strong position in the game and seal the deal at roughly 14 minutes to take the 1-0 lead. The second would be a tight race with Greed and Jaypee coming up big for the Season 4 & 5 MPL-PH champions to help push them to victory, forcing the third and final game.

This game would be a long one, surpassing 20 minutes of playtime and taking battle after battle. Ultimately a big push by Aura PH in the late game gave them a three man advantage as they charged through toward the base. Unable to overcome the numbers advantage, ONIC’s final two players fell and Aura PH claimed the win.

Blacklist wouldn’t see three maps in their series against Geek Fam, however. The team from the Philippines didn’t go down easy though in game one, taking it all the way to 21 minutes in an intense war across the map. The fight would just about end there, however, with Geek Fam continuing that momentum and cruising to an early 11 minute win in game two to eliminate their opponents and set up a match against reigning MPL-MY/SG champions Todak.
